Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology established in the year 2021, is now a state of art multi speciality department running in a 1200 bedded medical college with 250 beds dedicated for maternity unit, family planning and CEMONC services. The department prides itself with high quality patient care in antenatal, postnatal, infertility, gynaecology, adolescent health, preventive gynaecology and minimally invasive surgeries. It strives to incorporate excellent clinical services along side respectful maternity care. Being Laqshya certified, the department’s vision is to establish a patient friendly environment to serve the reproductive health needs with continuous focused training to the next generation and expanding research.
The department excels by treating approximately 150-200 outpatients per day with complete obstetric care, high risk obstetrics, genetic diagnosis,comprehensive family welfare counseling with includes exhaustive contraceptive basket and laparascopic sterilization, infertility evaluation and management, cancer screening, endogynaecology, menopausal treatment, pelvic floor medicine and speciality clinics dedicated to oncology, urogynaecology, ultrasonography.
Community services are being provided for Anaemia prevention, Adoloscent health and mentoring satellite centers which function as primary health care centres where antenatal care and high risk obstetrics are dealt with.
Educational endeavours include teaching nursing students and training labour room care providers with the up to date standardized protocols.

LABOUR THEATRE:
A 50 bedded labour theatre with 6labour boards and 2 septic labour boards functioning managing 100 admissions per day with approximate 80% of high risk admissions. LT achieves an average of 25 deliveries/day. It is a stand alone tertiary care maternity unit with round the clock (24 x 7) duty obstetrician, well trained paramedical team and operation theatre facilities to deal with the high risk referrals in and around Tiruppur. A well equipped HDU functioning with 10 beds with a trained staff nurse exclusive for HDU and round the clock specialist availability aiming to treat critically ill to achieve zero maternal mortality.
